Trails day at Gallatin Tower

About 30 people, including the Bozeman Climbing Team, showed up to revamp the Gallatin Tower trail on Saturday.  The Forest Service came out and supplied all the tools and a chain saw.  We made large platforms at the base of all the climbs, re-worked some of the existing trail, and finished the trail to the top of the Tower.   A few people stayed out and climbed in the rain.  Thanks everyone!

Building the New Access Trail at Allenspur climbing area.

At the early-bird hour of 9:30 AM, six of us met at the parking lot for Allenspur. Our goal-to build a new climber access trail on a recently obtained trail access route- which mgiht become permanent after one year.

On the crew were Amber 'dig it' Jean, Dustin 'chainsaw massacre' Gaines, Ted 'trail pro' Wood, Hermes 'pick ax' Lynn, Mark 'spud bar' Wolfenden, and myself, Jim 'lazy ass' Earl.
